One of the biggest events for the entire dance genre as well as Miami itself and AscenDance Radio was there for both days! The 2010 Ultra Music Festival boasted 16 stages over two days with more than 200 DJs, bands and producers. Even with a tough economy it’s predicted that well over 100,000 fans will have shown up and yet they beat that number gracefully! For the official WMC 25 closing party , Ultra Music Festival.
There really is something for everyone and like every year if you’re into a variety of dance genres the toughest part of your day is going to be figuring out how to be at four places at once. With acts like Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Fedde Le Grand, Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, ATB, Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Jerome Isa-ae, Armin van Buuren, Nima Naseri, Carl Cox, and so many more it’s best to plan ahead and schedule where you’re going to be and when.
Even if a price tag seems a bit much for both days, no where else can you pay so little to see such an extraordinary amount of artists performing live. That’s not even mentioning the atmosphere of being surrounded by thousands of people enjoying the same music you are. Winter Music Conference has a lot to offer but there’s a reason why year after year they keep choosing Ultra to end the conference with a bang!
As for AscenDance Radio, we’ve only been on the air for a year to the day on March 26th, 2010 but thanks to the wonderful Alexandra Greenberg, Shazila Mohammed and especially John Ochoa over at MSOPR, the organization handling Ultra’s press coverage, ADR was in the media tent in 2010! Ultra is a truly monumental event every single year but just a little bit more this because we got to go behind the main stage, taking pictures of Ultra fans and artists and conducting interviews for all of our great fans. We wouldn’t have made it to our one year if it weren’t for all of you showing us your love and support for what we spend sleepless nights bringing you.
So thanks to MSOPR and every listener of ADR for making this possible!
