Kelvin Ramirez

Position: Program Director
Nickname(s): TechnoKelvin
Kelvin Ramirez, Program Director of AscenDance Radio, grew up as a child of the 90′s. Listening to dance music of that era of as he likes to call it “Night at The Roxburies Dance” but it wasn’t until he stumbled upon the newly launched Party 93.1, where he discovered his true love and passion for the genre. Party 93.1 was all he listened to and was devastated when the station was taken off the air in 2005. Left without a Dance station to listen to, Kelvin still sought after Dance music to fill the void. By doing his own research, Kelvin stumbled upon different types of Dance music such as trance, chill, ambient, break beat, etc.
At the end of 2005, Kelvin discovered satellite radio XM and what would become his new favorite dance station BPM. While it was great to have Dance radio back in his car, as the years passed BPM started to adopt a more fm mentality that is an excessive main stream influence as well as a constant repetition of the same songs. For years, Kelvin tried to make his voice heard by posting on forums, sending emails, making phone calls etc., all of which fell on deaf ears. With internet radio steadily gaining popularity every year, he got tired of sitting back and complaining and decided to do get up and do something about it; thus the birth of AscenDance Radio.
As program director of AscenDance Radio Kelvin manages day to day operations such as Web design, updates, mix shows, song selections, etc.
